Brain Health

I had the opportunity to meet Ken Lees, Volunteer President for the PingPong.GIVES Charity Foundation, an organization that raises money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Association, PiN, Vanguard Landing and I Need a Lighthouse.  For those of you who do not know, playing table tennis or ping-pong is one of the best exercises for the brain.   To learn more about Ken Lees and how he started this organization, click here.

Once I learned about the Charity Foundation and heard that there was going to be a local event in Virginia Beach, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to be a participant in playing ping-pong or become a sponsor.  I wanted to do both, but decided that I would volunteer my significant other, Jim and his son Ryan to play ping-pong, while I sponsored the event on behalf Healthy Skin with Denise.   This was an amazing event and I had the chance to meet a lot of new people.

PingPongforCharity was held on September 9-10, 2016.  The event raised a little over $71,000 in gross proceeds enabling the PingPong.GIVES Foundation to dole out over $35,000 to five local Charity Partners:  PIN Ministry, Vanguard Landing, Parkinson’s Association and Alzheimer’s Association of Hampton Roads.
